About Us
Maybe not quite this long ago, but since 1980, ICLC has existed to promote community throughout the classes at UR in three different tiers. The first tier is community on the hall, fostered by weekly meetings and Community Builders- hall gatherings to get dinner, go see a concert, or just to play board games on the hall as a study break.
The second tier is community across the university campus. ICLC puts on eight programs a semester with topics ranging from documentary screenings to lectures by professors to card-making study breaks. Members will team up in pairs to plan, organize, and preside over these events that are open to everyone on campus, regardless of class, major, extracurriculars, or anything else!
The third tier is community within the whole city of Rochester. ICLC has a community service project each semester where members will go out to a soup kitchen, nursing home, 5K run, or other location to help give back to the community that we call home for four years!
